Ancient Lands
The album you are holding in your hands is a memory of the land where Athena appears to be reborn, over and over again; the Minoans, the Mycenaeans, the Dorians spring out of the deep blue waters and imposing ancient centres, religious images, cults, myths, oracles, culture and nature of this country, Greece. Greece offered material and symbolic wealth, taught science, methodology, philosophy and politics; a measure which is brimming with life's essence. Mortals, demigods and gods orchestrated enchanting myths, built brilliant cities, sanctuaries, theatres and markets, took part in events - great and small - and left behind great stories in a unique balance between the ephemeral, the eternal, and the ecumenical. Ancient Greeks worshiped each god in a land that befitted the god's features and attributes. No natural surrounding was accidental. The landscapes showcase the beauty and power of the gods that selected them as their residence. Peaceful or austere, grandiose or serene, rural or marine, all are divine landscapes in divine lands. This is the tune that accompanies us today. It is the "eternal dance of Greece".

Δαράκη Ζέφη Λ.
Η Ζέφη Δαράκη γεννήθηκε το 1939 στην Αθήνα. Από το 1964 μέχρι το 1967, οπότε και απολύθηκε από τη δικτατορία, εργάστηκε ως βιβλιοθηκάριος στη βιβλιοθήκη του Δήµου Αθηναίων, όπου και επέστρεψε, το 1974, για μια δεκαετία. Έχει εκδώσει ποιητικές συλλογές, νουβέλες και ποίηση για παιδιά. Ποιήματά της έχουν μεταφραστεί στις κυριότερες ευρωπαϊκές γλώσσες και έχουν δηµοσιευθεί σε ελληνικά και ξενόγλωσσα περιοδικά. Το 2014 τιμήθηκε με το Κρατικό Βραβείο Ποίησης και το 2015 με το Βραβείο Διδώ Σωτηρίου της Εταιρίας Συγγραφέων, καθώς και με το Βραβείο Ιδρύματος Κώστα και Ελένης Ουράνη της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών.
